Star Wars: The Old Republic is nowadays being finger-pointed by its fans as they have been complaining that the game has too many active servers running at a time but the amount of players playing the game is less. Thus is gets tough for them to find opponents to play against.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is said to have about 1/10th of the subscribers of World of Warcraft but on the contrary, it has 50% more active servers running at a particular time. Members of the game have expressed their appeals to the developers of the game on the official forum of the game. They feel that having too many active servers at a time makes it hard to bring more opponents and this problem increases manifold in case the level of the players is high.

The game created waves in the gaming industry and EA has sold millions of copies ever since the game was launched. But owing to the problems with servers, many gamers are switching to other games which is somewhat degrading the credibility of SWTOR. The developers of the game are taking necessary steps to tackle this problem so that the fan base is maintained.
